Visa Requirements in Finland:

Getting admission to a Finnish University will require you a good academic background along with an English Language Proficiency Test. Here is the overview of entry requirements.

Bachelor’s/ undergraduate studies:

• Higher Secondary Certificate / A-level / Equivalent.
• Applicants who have passed an A-level examination with English or IELTS Academic Test with a minimum score of 6.0, Pearson PTE Academic test with a minimum score of 56 points, or Equivalent English test.

Master’s studies:

• Undergraduate/Bachelor’s degree or equivalent of at least 4 years’ duration. The degree must include courses equal to at least 1 & 1/2 years of full-time studies in a subject relevant to that of the program applied for.
• IELTS – Academic test minimum of 6 points OR PTE Academic score of 56 or equivalent. Very few programs accept a Medium of study – English also.

Visa Requirements for Sweden:

Admission Requirements

Bachelor’s/ undergraduate studies:

• SSC/HSC with a minimum GPA of 4 or O-Level/ A – Level or Equivalent.
• IELTS Band Score 6.5 with no band less than 5.5. PTE Academic Test and TOEFL are also acceptable.

N.B. O-Level/ A-Level students will not be required to submit any other English proficiency test.

Master’s studies:

• Undergraduate/Bachelor’s degree or equivalent of at least 4 years’ duration.
• Bachelor Transcript has to be sent to the Admission committee directly from the passing University in a sealed envelope.
• A minimum of 6.5 in IELTS or Equivalent TOEFL, PTE Academic Test. Some programs require a higher score in IELTS.
• Even though a few programs accept MOI (Medium of Instruction), it’s better to apply with IELTS.

N.B. Students may Apply to Pre-Masters with IELTS 5.5. Applicants who have completed university education where the subject English or MBBS can be exempted from the English Language test.

Student Visa Requirement for Sweden

Sponsorship: To be granted a residence permit for higher education research or studies, it is enough that you have sufficient funds for your living expenses during the time of your permit, and it should cover the costs of your return trip. Living expenses per month for a student is around 830 euro (subjected to change).

• Fees: Visa Application fee – 100 Euro, Embassy / Biometric fee – 1740BDT (Fees are subject to change anytime with a notice from Swedish Embassy and Immigration service).

• At least 6 months’ Tuition fee payment confirmation to University (Refund policy applies).
